Terms of Service

Welcome to Driven. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Driven platform and any services related to our Buy Now, Pay Later (“BNPL”) offering. By using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Overview of Services
Driven allows eligible users to pay certain expenses (such as traffic fines or municipal fees) in four (4) bi-weekly installments, with the first payment due at checkout. We are not a bank or credit card company. We extend short-term installment plans directly to users and facilitate payments via ACH.
2. Eligibility
To use Driven:
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement.
- You must reside in the United States.
- You must provide accurate and complete financial information.
- Your approval is based on available assets and account activity—not your credit score.
3. Installment Terms
Each plan includes four equal bi-weekly payments.
The first payment is due immediately when you agree to a plan.
A 14% one-time service fee is applied to each installment.
We do not charge interest and we never perform a credit check.
Payments are automatically withdrawn via ACH from your linked bank account.
4. Use of Plaid & Financial Data
We use Plaid to securely connect with your financial institution to review your bank activity, verify assets, and help us approve your installment plan responsibly. By using Driven, you consent to our use of Plaid to evaluate eligibility.
We do not store your bank login credentials and only use read-only access for decisioning and servicing your plan.
5. Late or Failed Payments
If a payment fails:
- We may reattempt the charge.
- We’ll notify you and work with you to find a solution.
- Driven does not charge late fees, but missed payments may affect your eligibility for future plans.
Our goal is to help—not punish. If you're unable to make a payment, contact us at support@drivenapp.com and we’ll do our best to work with you.
6. Commitment to Our Users
Driven is currently operating in a limited release phase. If at any point Driven pauses or shuts down:
- We’ll notify you in advance.
- You’ll continue to have access to your plan details and repayment options.
- We’ll continue to honor our agreement and support you through the full repayment term.
We believe in doing right by our users and standing by our commitments—always.
7. Your Responsibilities
- Keep your linked bank information up to date.
- Ensure there are sufficient funds in your account on payment dates.
- Use Driven only for lawful and authorized purposes.
- Notify us if your financial situation changes significantly.
8. Limitation of Liability
Driven provides services “as is” and makes no guarantees regarding uninterrupted access, approval decisions, or processing times. We are not liable for losses due to delays or service interruptions, except as required by law.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Michigan.
10. Updates to Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. If we make a material change, we’ll notify you through the Driven app or by email. Continuing to use the service means you accept the updated terms.
